What can I write about?
  • 500–800-word articles focusing on poetic history, culture, tech, and lifestyle
  • 300–800-word mini-workshops centred on short poetry forms (established, obscure, or original) or poetry publishing, including examples and step-by-step walkthroughs
  • 100-word poetry book reviews recommending recent works (preference for collections featuring short poetry) that are commercially available
  • 800-word in-depth poetry book reviews addressing publishing trends or industry insights
  • 200-word interviews spotlighting under-recognised figures in poetry or poets in unconventional contexts, plus a short poem
  • 500–800-word narrative essays (optionally accompanied by up to five pages of supplementary poems/workshop materials)
  • Monochrome, noir, or seascape art (original work only; credit provided)
  • 0 words on self-promotion (e.g., your own poetry or a bestie’s collection)

Tone
Fun, upbeat, conversational—imagine discussing poetry with a friend on the beach.

  • Submissions edited for layout, concision, and compliance with APA 7/UK English
  • Punctuation: Avoid semicolons and en dashes. We prefer full stops, em dashes, Oxford commas, and ellipses (…)
  • Include image ideas and a short bio in your email
