This morning we were informed that the Australian literature database AustLit will be indexing our magazine. It is wonderful news. The website, magazines, and all your wonderful poetry will be collected for future prosperity. This is in addition to TROVE also collecting our data. What wonderful support!
Quick update: The launch was a huge success with 45 people attending in person and 15 online. Thank you everyone for making this day wonderful! Hi Everyone, There are four days left until our official launch at the Perth Poetry Club. I want to take a moment to thank the various poetry groups who have been sharing the link to their members, the event manager at PPC, the various people who have helped out with setting up the webpages, and the 330 individual visitors who have visited the site in the last couple of days! Your support is amazing. Please remember to subscribe :) PPC Newsetter advertising the launch.
Wild Whispers Poetry Magazine offers a new opportunity for poets from around the world, for short poems under five (5) lines and 160 characters. Wild Whispers invites submissions of up to three (3) pieces of micropoetry of any form. Biographical statements (50 words) should also be included, please.
Submissions for the first edition will open 14 December to 14 February 4pm GMT To learn more about Wild Whispers and how to submit, please visit the website here https://www.wildwhisperspoetrymagazine.com/ Here are the QR Code flyers we will be setting out on tables at the launch. We have printed them on medium weight paper, 4 to an A4 page. They look good, don't you think?
We are pleased that WA Poets have advertised our launch in their weekly newsletter. Thanks for much! You will notice that there is also a comment about the 3rd Annual Poet's Picnic. This is an event Wendy Beach has organised for the last three years in conjunction with Mar Bucknell's regular poemambulisms through the city. This one should be a lovely day walking through Highgate, and then picnicking in Hyde Park.
